Three Nights in June
June 2009 brought three separate nights at Warehouse 29, and this collection reflects the full range of what those evenings could offer. Regular shows, a pageant whose name I no longer recall, and the kind of rotating cast of performers that made the club feel like a different world each time you walked in.
Paisley Parque, Kristina Kelley, Big Shirli Stevenz, Tia Chanella, Ariabia Knight-Addams, Chevelle Brooks, Crystal Collins, and Sassi Stevenz were among those who took the stage across these nights. Each one brought their own energy, their own look, their own command of the room.
Warehouse 29 in June had a particular momentum to it. The community was still riding the energy of Pride month, and it showed in the performances.
