Kent's Room
May 2010 brought one of the last nights I would spend behind the lens at Warehouse 29, and the room gave me plenty to work with.
Lawanda Jackson, Felicity Knight-Addams, The Lady Diamond, Paisley Parque, Delighted Tobehere, Big Shirli Stevenz, Orlando Chanel, and Jessica Jade filled the stage across the night. The energy ran from a performer spinning so fast her skirt caught air and her hair flew sideways, to a quiet moment between songs, to a crowd member getting pulled in whether he was ready or not.
Somewhere in the middle of it all, I got a photo with Kent, the man who gave me the run of this place from the beginning.
