Fifty Looked Good on Her
When Arlisa told me she was turning fifty and asked if I would photograph the celebration, saying yes was easy. She had planned an evening worth remembering at Colonial Country Club, and she wanted every moment of it captured.
The dress code was all white, and everyone took it seriously. Feathers, crystal, and candlelight filled the room, but the guests were what made it special. Family from several generations came, along with old friends and coworkers, and everyone who walked in was greeted with a hug that lasted a little longer than usual.
By the time the line dancing started, nobody was sitting still. Fifty looked good on Arlisa, and so did the room full of people who showed up to tell her so.
