Family Time in the Music City (July 2017)
Family in the Music City
When my dad, my sister, and my nieces came to Nashville, I made the drive up from Memphis to meet them halfway. It had only been a few weeks since Jocelyn’s graduation, but with family spread across two states, you take every chance you get.
We spent most of the day in Centennial Park, wandering the paths and looking up at the Parthenon, then went out to see a little more of the city. Nobody was in a hurry. We talked, laughed, and found a bench big enough for all of us.
The last time I photographed Nashville, I was squeezing in a few hours between meetings. This time the city was just the backdrop, and the real reason I was there was standing right in front of my camera.
