Chicago before Business

Work brought me to Chicago, but Lara and I arrived a day early and decided the city deserved more than a view from a conference room. We had no agenda beyond seeing as much of it as we could on foot.

She explored and I shot. We wandered through the Loop and along the lake, past old towers and newer glass standing side by side, and stopped wherever something caught our eye. Buckingham Fountain made a natural pause, and Lara humored me with a photo there.

Business trips rarely leave room for anything else. That extra day turned a work trip into something I actually remember, mostly because I spent it with someone who was just as happy to wander.
