St. Louis, Missouri (September 2017)

Between Meetings, Again

Business brought me to St. Louis, but I made sure to leave a little room in the schedule for the city itself. Between meetings, I explored downtown and spent an afternoon wandering Forest Park.

Downtown was a mix of old stone, glass towers, sculpture, and fountains. Out past the center of town, grand homes stood not far from buildings that had been left to time. Forest Park slowed everything down, offering open lawns, tall trees, and small surprises growing in the grass. Everywhere I went, the Arch kept finding its way into the frame, but never more perfectly than at sunrise, standing at the end of the street.

At the time, it was just a city I was passing through. I had no idea that a few years later, I would call it home.
