Between Takes

In between shooting with Reco, I found a few quiet minutes to turn the camera on St. Louis itself. Spring had settled over downtown, and the city looked as fresh as I had ever seen it.

Citygarden was in full bloom. Tulips filled the terraced beds, the redbuds were heavy with pink, and the Arch rose just beyond the trees. Sculptures were scattered across the lawns, from a tumbling stack of stone to a cheerful Pinocchio, arms thrown wide, welcoming everyone who passed.

These were stolen moments between someone else’s spotlight, but they reminded me how easily St. Louis could win me over. Every visit gave me one more reason to come back.
