City to Shore
While Aries was visiting me in Baltimore, we made time for portraits around the city and then took a day trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It was his first time ever on a beach.
In Baltimore, we photographed him along train platforms, brick rowhouses and glass walls, then spent time in Graffiti Alley, where layers of bold color covered every surface and gave the portraits a vibrant, energetic feel. In Rehoboth, the mood shifted completely. Aries spread out on the sand, walked to the edge of the ocean, and stepped into the waves for the very first time.
Watching him experience the ocean for the first time was a moment I’ll never forget. From city walls to open water, this visit gave us memories that will stay with both of us.
