Masters of the Bluff City

Some ideas arrive fully formed. This one started with a simple question: what would happen if the heroes and villains of Eternia came to Memphis?

The answer turned out to be better than expected. Across midtown and downtown, from the murals along Union and Madison to the banks of the Mississippi on Mud Island, the Masters of the Universe found a city that could hold them. Skeletor and his crew claimed Beale Street, chosen deliberately because the blues and purples and yellows of those figures matched the color of the street itself. Prince Adam and Cringer found the Christmas tree downtown. Teela and Ram-Man stood in front of Ja Morant. And the entire cast staged their final battle on the rocks at Mud Island with the Memphis skyline rising behind them.

This is what happens when childhood meets a city you know well enough to see its possibilities.
