Brick, Beer, and the River

St. Louis kept pulling me back. This was my third trip in less than a year, and this time I made a point of seeing the parts of the city I had missed.

I started at the Anheuser Busch brewery, where the red brick towers, stained glass, and grand old halls feel more like a cathedral to beer than a factory, and a Clydesdale posed better than most people I have photographed. From there I made my way down to the river, through Laclede’s Landing, under the stone arches of the Eads Bridge, and along a floodwall covered in color. The Arch was waiting at the end, as it always seems to be.

Each visit showed me a little more of the city. Without realizing it, I was getting to know a place I would one day call home.
