The City I Was Calling Home

After months of planes, business trips, and visits back to Memphis, I finally turned the camera on the city I was now calling home. It was spring in Atlanta, and I wanted to see it with fresh eyes.

I spent the day at The Battery, where the Braves had settled into their new home and a giant Coca-Cola mural stretched along the street. Then I went to Atlantic Station, with its fountains, footbridges, and the Millennium Gate rising over the water. Midtown’s towers filled the skyline. In between, the dogwoods and tulips were blooming everywhere, and I kept stopping to get closer.

I had spent so much time exploring other cities that I had barely explored my own. That day was a reminder that home deserves the same curiosity I bring everywhere else.
