A Moment He Never Saw Coming

Some moments you plan for. Others find you.

JoJo reached out and asked if I would be willing to photograph a surprise engagement, and I said yes before he finished explaining. What he had put together was something special. He chose the Shoenberg Arid House at the Missouri Botanical Garden, Tyrell's favorite place in the garden, and filled it with the people who matter most to them. Friends stood hidden along the path, and as Tyrell walked through, each one handed him a written card carrying words of affirmation and love. By the time he reached JoJo, he had been wrapped in everything that holds them up. And then he found him waiting with a ring in hand and a proposal he never saw coming.

I was there to capture what happened when it all came together. These are those moments.
